Iran-Pakistan exports up by 16% in first three months

TEHRAN, Apr. 22 (MNA) – The export volume from Iran to Pakistan increased by 16% in the first three months of the current year (January to March).

According to the latest information from the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan, Iran’s exports to the Asian country reached $286 million in the first quarter of the year, representing a 16% growth compared to the same period last year.

Pakistan imported goods valued at $247 million during the same period last year.

In the third month of 2024, Pakistan’s imports from Iran grew by 25% compared to the same period last year, reaching $95.6 million.

Iran is now considered Pakistan’s ninth source of imports as of March 2024.

Recently, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi visited Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, for an official two-day visit. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Tehran, Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, emphasized that this visit signifies the strong bonds between the two nations and the alignment of their authorities in various aspects.
